White Rock Lake in Dallas Texas is THE PERFECT location for your engagement session! Really, its a 10/10. Not only is it super casual but its FREE to use and there are plenty location spots to give amazing variety to your session gallery. Today you’ll meet Yanin & Ryan, a recently engaged couple celebrating their future nuptials. I was so excited when Yanin reached out to me, its been a while since I had done an engagement shoot! Most of my previous brides had opted for a bridal session instead of an engagement so this was TRULY a treat!
More about our couple:
Yanin & Ryan met on a group date set up by her friends from work. Ryan called her a few days later, they went on a few dates and the rest is history. Ryan proposed in January 2020 on their trip to Maui – right at the end of the road to Hana! So romantic!! Yanin is an ICU nurse and Ryan works in IT in the DFW area. What makes this couple unique? They are fur-parents to two lovable dogs and a cat, love rock climbing and just by being with them for their session, they’re super cool and casual. Not only are they cool and casual but they are CLEARLY naturals in front of the camera! I was convinced they’d been models for another photographer before me. With 2020 being —- well, 2020, wedding plans have been put on hold while they get to enjoy this season of being engaged.
After having to postpone due to rain from another date, our session at White Rock Lake in Dallas Texas turned out to be absolutely perfect! You wouldn’t even guess this place was flooded with people by the end of it (thank goodness for Photoshop!) I have to say that this has been one of my favorite sessions in 2020 and there’s still more to come. I hope you enjoy this beautiful lakefront session <3
To Yanin & Ryan, you two were such a joy to work with. I felt like we got along so well and I was surprised Ryan and I had so much in common (this is so rare!) I hope you had a pleasant experience during your engagement session. I love the lake engagement sessions. I think I’ll start suggesting this place all the time now 🙂 From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for trusting me with your photography!
