Right on the outskirts of Little Elm, Texas is The Knotting Hill Place wedding venue where it feels like the number of chandeliers outnumbers the number of stairs in the place. I mean it’s simply GORGEOUS! The Italian/French-style mansion gave Brittany and Chris’ wedding day such an elegant feel.
I’d like to start off by saying ALOHA! to Mr. and Mrs Kitzmiller who are currently in the dreamy Hawaiian islands enjoying their first week as a married couple! Take a million pictures and finally enjoy some rest and relaxation after planning the biggest day of your lives <3
From the bride on how he proposed:
“He proposed to me at my mother in law’s house during my sons 1st birthday celebration. We were also announcing that day that I was pregnant with my second child (which was a huge surprise). After my son opened his gifts and we had done his “smash cake”, all of a sudden everyone started heading out to the back yard?? I couldn’t figure out what everyone was doing except the thought that my “crazy picture taking mother in law” was once again harassing everyone to get together for a group photo!! Everyone is standing around waiting on a picture to be taken?? And all a sudden Chris raises up on our Skidster (concrete machine) above the fence line connected to a harness standing on top of a huge rock/boulder and says… “ Babe, I know you’ve always said you wanted a big rock… well here is your big rock right here” ( pointing to the boulder he’s standing on)… I right then and there knew he was proposing. He lowered down on the machine, hopped the fence and got down on one knee… GAME OVER GIRLFRIEND!! Got my man and my “fat rock”!
These two truly made the day personalized to THEIR liking and I loved every bit of it! If you don’t know much about me, then just know that I cry at weddings! ????
- They both wrote vows to their children to say out loud during the ceremony, which I thought was so incredibly heartfelt.
- They had first dances with their children – TO DISNEY songs to say the least! I love Disney!
- They wrote beautiful notes to each other where they both had some private time to read at the beginning of their wedding day. As a photographer, I know it’s so hard for brides and grooms to have a moment to themselves on the wedding day. I wanted to make this time extra special and have them read it alone and I’m so glad I did!
- I’m lieu of a First Look with her groom, Brittany opted on a First Look with her Dad. Brittany is the last child out of 5 and THE ONLY girl to get married so this was SO special for me to capture! Yes, I 100% shed a tear here too.
How can I forget to mention that their daughter Paisley completely stole the show as the Flower Girl at the ceremony!? She gently and slowly placed each petal delicately on the ground in such a meticulous manner, THAT’S MY GIRL!! She knew she wanted that aisle to be beautifully covered in petals for her mama before she walked down!!
As the night went on, I was just in awe about their families. The way they hug each other so tightly, the way Chris looks at Brittany, the memories from this day were overflowing and made me feel nostalgic. And THE CAKE table! Oh lord, I’ve never seen such a beautiful cake table in all of my days. A fantastic job to all the vendors to helped bring The Kitzmillers day together. I had such a fantastic time and felt so blessed to be there. Thank you to Brittany, Chris, and the Kitzmiller/Watson family for trusting me with their wedding day!
Without further ado, please #MeetTheKitzmillers!!
