Meet Steph
I began capturing images when I found a Black Friday deal on a Nikon DSLR in 2013. My life has never been the same since. After years of taking photos of just my dogs, I made the leap into owning a wedding photography business.
Your wedding photographer should be so much more than ‘just another vendor’. My mission when serving couples is to make them feel like family. They should be able to capture the true essence of who you and your love really is.
I believe in real moments and chasing sunsets. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together. I believe in images that are itching to be printed, placed in beautiful frames and hung on walls for years to come.
“Behind the camera is just a girl who craves sweet tea with lemon on a hot summer day in the Great State of Texas.”

BEHIND THE SCENES
Our little family

My husband, Alex Bustos, is a passionate day trader and digital marketer. He’s the moral support behind my company and I wouldn’t have been able to pursue this passion of wedding photography without him. He sometimes assists me on wedding days if he’s feeling up to the task!

While you won’t see them on your wedding day, our little fur babies: Sydney, Coco and Stark, have fully inspected all packages and galleries before they get shipped off to your residence or email inbox. They are the best at what they do and take their job here at SMP very seriously.

“
The South.
Where love, family and tradition are the sugar in our tea.”
I was raised right outside the melting pot city of San Antonio, Texas in a small town called Schertz. My love for travel has taken me everywhere from the beaches of Southern Florida to the mountains in Hawaii. But regardless of where I travel, the tex-mex food and “southern way” of San Antonio will always be my home.
IF I HAD TO DESCRIBE MY STYLE IN THREE WORDS, THEY WOULD BE CLASSIC, CANDID AND TIMELESS.

“Whenever I pick up my camera, I strive to create beautiful and emotional images that tell a story and showcase the beauty of both the people in the images and the world around them.”
my why
it all began with a click.
If you didn’t know, Crayola made cameras back in the day and this was the very first camera I ever laid my hands on! I had to be in 6th or 7th grade. I grew up looking at all kinds of pictures my mom had stowed away in a plastic bin. I LOVED looking at them, in fact, I still do. I can’t pinpoint EXACTLY why, but I imagine it has to do with my love of reminiscing and saying “omg, remember when..” or “DO YOU REMEMBER HOW AWESOME THIS DAY WAS!”. Just something about it gives me a warm and feel good feeling!
Looking back on those pictures is so special for me. I grew up in a military family so I changed schools quite a bit which was difficult but now that I’m older I’m so grateful for those experiences and changes in my life. I still have a lot of those pictures and every so often, when I get around to my spring cleaning, I come across that box with all my pictures from this Crayola camera and I’m reminded of those days as if it was yesterday. I remember what I felt, what I did, the people I hung out with. And that’s how photography has changed my life.
