I’ve always dreamed of doing a engagement session in Washington DC and guess what! I actually got the opportunity last week with a long lost friend and her husband. The Lincoln Memorial was every photographers PERFECT engagement session location and I honestly couldnt agree more. The way the light bounces off those pillars just gives me all the heart eyes. I flew out on a Friday and spent some time walking around to all the monuments and the capitol building. Even though everything was CLOSED due to COVID, I did enjoy the brisk weather and a long walk around the National Mall. I highly recommend the Lincoln Memorial for engagement session locations in Washington DC because there are so many other locations within a half mile you can walk to. One thing to mention, you probably need a permit to shoot there and you’ll want to shoot earlier in the morning if at all possible. You will be fighting crowds – thats a 100% guarantee! There were so many people there doing their photos around golden hour. If you dont mind fighting crowds, go for it! Otherwise, I highly suggest another time! Anyway, I definitely wanted to share these amazing images with the world. I’m so proud of the way they turned out and Mariah and Will were such troopers in the cold weather. Thank you to you both, you were so amazing to me!
