Flower Mound Ranch Wedding | Shrouq + Sameh

Flower Mound Texas Wedding

It’s not often I connect with our couples almost instantly. Building a connection takes time and working together a few times to really understand the needs and personalities of a couple in their relationship. I can say with confidence, the moment Shrouq reached out to me for her wedding day and told me her love story, I was already smitten with the both of them. I felt like I had known them my entire life. I wanted to help serve this couple in any way I could. The twist? I only had approximately 3 weeks to get to know them before their wedding day! Needless to say, I jumped on board quickly.

About The Couple

These two have been engaged for over 3 years!! The distance, visa protocols and and timezone differences (Texas to Jordan in the Middle East) kept their love from fully blooming. Shrouq and Sameh faced so many personal challenges that tested their love for each other but they only grew closer from 2017-2020. They went MONTHS without seeing each other, only through FaceTime and phone calls. For those who do not know, to get a visa in the United States is an obstacle course of heartache, long waiting process and lots of money. Overall, its the absolute WORST! It’s unbearable to hear how everything tried to break them a part and its just as triumphant to hear they stood the test of time.

When the visa FINALLY got approved, Shrouq & Sameh only had 60 days or less to wed – hence why we only had 3 weeks together!

About The Wedding

Shrouq & Sameh held their wedding reception on March 27, 2021 at her family’s Ranch in Flower Mound, Texas. It was an elegant affair laced with white roses, cross-back farmhouse chairs, touches of greenery. Her gown was designed by Jenny Yoo and purchased from BHLDN. She later surprised me with a SECOND ensemble for the reception made by Reema Dahbour which was imported from Amman, Jordan. This 2-piece silk pant and pearled top completely blew my mind. I had no idea she even had an outfit change planned! My favorite designer Badgley Mischka was also present on this incredible day. Can you really go wrong with dazzling jewels on your feet?

Our couple incorporated their middle eastern culture with plenty of Arabic music – so much dancing and – THE. FOOD. A huge feast of delicious Mediterranean food. We’re talking hummus, lamb, rice, baklava, and everything in between. Honestly, I was in HEAVEN. I officially wish I could do Middle Eastern weddings every weekend.

A Little Love Note

The abundance of love I have for this couple rings true to the HUGE HEARTS they have. To see Shrouq and Sameh smile so much on the wedding day was the most rewarding feeling I’ve ever had being a wedding photographer. These two wholeheartedly are so special to me. I wish we had more time but I am SO SO SO thankful they chose me as their photographer.

Shrouq & Sameh,

It means the world that you have chosen me to serve you and your family on the most important (and long awaited) day of your lives. I had the most incredible time at your wedding. You will always have a place in my heart and I wish you lightyears of happiness in your marriage.

Stephanie
